The Courier Connellsville, Pa. 9-17-1891 A Hungarian Romance Mt. Pleasant was the scene of a Hungarian romance last week, Andrew HELFOTA? HELFOLA?, a Morewood miner, courted Mary HOVANCE, several years ago. But Mary's parents, having accumulated a trunkful of silver dollars, went back to the old country taking Mary with them. Andre kept up a loving correspondence, and finally proposed marriage, Mary acceded. Andrew pledged his faith and credit for money to pay her passage hence. She arrived one day last week, but a handsomer man named Valent YANCKO appeared upon the scene at this critical juncture and stole the fickle Mary's heart away. They were weded and the heart of Andrew was soothed by a promise to repay the passage money for which he had become responsible.
