The Chronicle Telegram Elyria, Ohio 9-3-1957 Lorain Joseph A. DOVAK, 72, of 2009 East 31st. st., died last evening at his home following an illness of 3 months. He was born in Hungary and came to the US in 1903. He came to Lorain from Cleveland in 1916 and lived here ever since. Mr. DOVAK was a painter contractor, retiring in 1952, active in various Hungarian circles here he was a member of St. Ladislaus church, a past president of Verhovay Lodge, an organizer and past president of the Lorain Hungarian Young Men's Society and was a past president and held other offices in the Lorain Hungarian Council.
