I'm going to toss this out to the list, because I can't seem to figure out why my great-grandparents who lived in Nagyhalasz would go to Kemecse which was at least 20 miles away to marry in the Catholic church and not go to Ibrany which was maybe about 7 miles away and marry in the Catholic church there. Neither Daniel Bako nor Rozalia Grofcsik were found in either of the two towns. No birth records were found in Nagyhalasz for them. Rozalia was Catholic and Daniel was not. Trying to get into their mindset, so far has gotten me nowhere. Any ideas, List? Sharon
