I acquired his Death Certificate and his name is spelled RuscHak. I then found his info on an Ellis Island Manifest list and his name is spelled Ruscsak. I found that the place he arrived from was either spelled VADAsd or Vadaso. He came to America in in 1909. I tried to locate this town on a map of Hungary with no luck. Vadasd was located in Maros - Torda county, Also - Maros District and today it is located in Romainia and it is called Vadas. You can look it up in http://maps.google.com/ . Hope this helps, Laszlo (Les) Josa -----Original Message----- From: hungary-bounces@rootsweb.com [mailto:hungary-bounces@rootsweb.com] On Behalf Of Elaine Blaschke Sent: Thursday, August 19, 2010 6:56 AM To: hungary@rootsweb.com Subject: Re: [HUNGARY] HUNGARY Digest, Vol 5, Issue 274 I have been trying to find information on my paternal grandfather. See what you can dig up in-between, and once I'm back in PA. (in a week), I can give you a [better] hand.
