Hi there, Joe, hope you had a great time in Hungary! Wish you could've taken me in a large suitcase! Yah, still trying to figure out my elusive Bako ancestry. I checked out the Kemecse film and didn't find any Grofcsik names or Bako, so if there was a relative there, the name escapes my searching for sure. The two witnesses for the marriage in the Catholic church there were Namanyi Pal and Makkai Janos. I found several of those surnames in Nagyhalasz. They must've been there for a while since three bans were read for them. I'm tempted to reorder the Kemecse film and go over it with a fine tooth comb once again. I must've missed something. When I attached the marriage record you weren't able to read the name of Rozalia's mother. It was Rat Terez and I didn't find her in the Kemecse film either. Hmmm, think I'll reorder it and see if I missed something. Thank you for your always welcomed input. I value your knowledge so very much. Of course there could have been any number of reasons why they married there! :-) A baby might have been on the way!? But more likely one had a better to do relative there, who could house (and maybe foot the bill for) the wedding, which used to be a big deal in those days. Joe Equinunk, PA - USA jjarfas@verizon.net
