    3. Les, I did not say the Embassy had the records. I said they obtained them for me. Back in those days they did such things. That's why they told me to contact my cousin for other records. All I know is I have those records and they did not charge me for them. Times have changed and so have people.     3. Margaret, sorry I misunderstood. You are correct times have changed. Today money talks. In my case I had a relative from Budapest pick up my birth certificate. His name is same as mine (Laszlo Josa) so that helped me. We are close in age, he was born in 45 and I was born in 44. Same month but he was 2 days before mine.
