If you are staying in Hungary for an extended time, does anyone know how does one get mail? Do they have post offices where one can rent a box. Is mail delivered to apartments? He is subletting I think. My son says there is no mail delivery to his apartment..It does look like there are many post offices in Budapest but not sure why he cannot get a PO Box--maybe because he is not a citizen? I don't know but they show all these links on Google for post offices. And he says he can see St Stephens and the Opera House in the square from his place. It is a civilized country in the EU so I don't understand why he cannot get mail. http://maps.google.com/maps?hl=en&expIds=17259,23756,24416,24692,24878,24879,26285,26511,26543,26561&sugexp=ldymls&tok=FCBH3RTak2n9TlI91eo_Lw&xhr=t&cp=20&wrapid=tljp1285089129765134&um=1&ie=UTF-8&q=post+office+in+budapest&fb=1&gl=us&hq=post+office&hnear=Budapest,+Hungary&view=text&ei=gOeYTLPCN8__nAffqJmcDw&sa=X&oi=local_group&ct=more-results&resnum=1&sqi=2&ved=0CDAQtwMwAA
Don't quite know, Linda, why there is no mail delivery to an apartment house; Hungarian post office delivers mail just like here: to the box or to the door! But if he really can't get mail delivered to his apartment, tell him to go here and find a free box: http://www.posta.hu/object.05f8c7b8-c9d4-e6a4-e000-0000000posta.ivy Joe Equinunk, PA - USA jjarfas@verizon.net Hogan wrote: >If you are staying in Hungary for an extended time, does anyone know how >does one get mail? > >Do they have post offices where one can rent a box.
