    3. Don't have many details, Nick, but 'tentatively' a CD would be around $26 + shipping, and the DVD's around $52+. The guys were trying to create income, since none of their requests to different organizations resulted in support - up to now. It is also planned that those who 'contribute' equivalent funds for the camera's will be entitled to a free CD or DVD, but don't know how this will be accomplished (if at all). 3. Hi all, our fellow researchers in Hungary started a noble collection: one of our colleagues in Romania (Transylvania part) went on a serious mission to photograph all available church books and other records which will be published on CD's and DVD's (which LDS does not have). He recorded a few 100 thousand pages already, he has quite a few helpers as well - but don't have enough cameras to get the job done (he is using now a SONY DSC-H50 which he says works fabulously. His web site [all in Hungarian for the time being] is: http://erdelygen.uw.hu/forrasok.php - since he does not have time to update it, there are many more records of places that what's shown there now. This is where the 'hunky' researchers in Hungary are 'chipping in'. So far they got promises for a full camera and stand (and whatever; [myself contributed almost a third]) - and hoping to get some more funds. An other 'twist' to the story: if we can purchase the camera's here in the States (due to the price difference) we could get two for the price of one over there! :-) The 'hitch' to this option: wire transfers to this country cost a small fortune; and the camera's would have to be 'hand' delivered to Romania (or at least to Hungary or Slovakia) to avoid some additional costs like duty and taxes! ;-) Therefore if US purchase option is chosen, would you all let me know if anybody is planning a visit to the old country (and when) so that we can work out a delivery option somehow. Also an other way would be if somebody's relatives are coming to visit here; they could then deliver the precious machines so the work can progress that much faster. (In Hungary they are planning to institute a stricter law come next Jan 1st about personal data availability and LDS already made some films disappear which will be affected [we are of course fighting this]. We all worry that Romania will follow suit and they will also restrict access - that's why the rush.) Joe Equinunk, PA - USA jjarfas@verizon.net

    3. Posting here and on Folklore... hoping for a culinaryily satisfying result! I recently moved back to California from Colorado, and my two favorite Hungarian restaurants where I live are gone... Gypsy Celler in Brea, C and one (I can't remember name) in West Covina CA (my favorite). I know there are ones in Los Angeles and North Hollywood, (and drive out to shop at Otto's) but would love to find one near home in Inland Empire or North East Orange County. Please let me know if you know of anything like this.... Very hungry for Hungarian! Julianna
