Szabo, passed away in early November. We appreciate the many kind words we have received over the last 3 weeks. Some of you know that our Mom had been battling cancer for the last 7 years. She routinely defied doctors predictions from the very start of her diagnosis. We know that running Magyar Marketing provided her with a creative outlet, many friendships, and a great distraction from the medical battles she faced. Thank you for your partnership with her! Naturally, we have a huge void here at Magyar Marketing as well as in each of our homes this season. Mom managed to involve each and every one of her immediate family, many of her extended family, and numerous friends in the different facets of Magyar Marketing. This will continue and so while we will all miss our Moms presence and voice, there will be other, very familiar faces at the festivals and familiar voices on the phone. Do you have a story to share with us about our Mom? We are interested in hearing it! The grandchildren range in age from 4-20 and we are compiling little stories here and there about our Mom so that even the very youngest of the grandchildren will have some stories to read about their Nagymama (grandmother). If you have a story to tell about our Mom, please email [email protected] We look forward to hearing from you! We have been updating the website with photos and new products. Please check in often as we are adding new items daily during this time. Please order earlier than normal this year as we are just getting used to our full responsibilities!! The Szabo Family

    3. Darlene, you did not mention which of the religions you are interested in but if you checked the Village finder you will see the different churches in different villages. There are films for GC and Reformed also so perhaps it would be better to check the films thro the FHL before you spend money and time to buy them. The villages listing RC and Luth don''t show any films listed. Some times information is in books of other faiths if no church is in the town. Good Luck. 3. Joe, I have been looking at the church record for Smolnik (Szomolnok) for several weeks now at our local Mormon Stake but cannot find anything close to the name. On 2 separate records Veronica Gabron is listed as being born in Szepes-Szomolnok (now Smolnik, Slovakia). I was hoping that someone may have the 1 listing for the surname Gabron in the 1828 Hungarian Census for the county of Szepes. Perhaps her family was from a nearby village. Again if someone has access to the 1828 Hung. Census for Szepes Co.(megye) please look up the surname Gabron for me & tell me the village. ----- Original Message ----- From: Joseph J Jarfas To: [email protected] Cc: [email protected] Sent: Wednesday, November 26, 2008 10:59 PM Subject: Re: [HUNGARY] Happy Thanksgiving Same to you, Gerald, have a happy Thanksgiving - wish the same everybody else.
