Hi, I’m new to this list and am getting back to researching my ancestor Mary Ann HULING. The “Huling Genealogy” book has her tentatively in the family of David HULING and Mary LANE. Somehow this just didn’t seem certain enough. Some time ago, I had heard about Sally Taft/Tefft and looked into and later dropped that search, but recently I have gotten more interested, especially since I started noticing that a number of Public trees stated that Sally had married George HULING and later a Daniel HULING and that she had gone with her daughter Mary Ann and Mary Ann’s husband to Concord, Jackson Co., Michigan. That is exactly where my Mary Ann HULING went with her husband Jesse MATTESON. What puzzled me was that the David HULING family had lived for a long time in Dutchess Co., NY, but my Mary Ann HULING and Jesse MATTESON were married in Shaftsbury, Vermont... Sally TAFT HULING’s daughter Mary Ann was born and lived in Shaftsbury, as well as Jesse MATTESON’s family. MY QUESTION IS: What is the SOURCE/ORIGIN of the statement that Sally moved to CONCORD, JACKSON CO., MICHIGAN with her daughter Mary Ann and her husband?
