From Esther Woodworth-Barnes book, "Huling Genealogy...", she has in the "Other Early Hulings in America" chapter the following: Early Connecticut HULINGS Margaret (Hulings) Bliss, wife of Thomas Bliss of Hartford, Conn., was born about 1595, daughter of John Hulings and his wife Margaret, of the parish of Rodborough, Gloucestershire, England. Margaret's ancestry was discovered by Mrs. Myrtle Stevens Hyde; for more information see "The American Genealogist" 52 [1976]: 195-197 Apparently Rodborough has disappeared (at least on my maps), but I have a contact in Gloucestershire that may be able to help you. Contact me off board and I will give you his address. Re the Huguenot ancestry of the Marcus de Hulingues story, this has been discredited. Don Huling ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ I am a descendant of Margaret Hulings who married Thomas Bliss, and lived in Springfield, MA in the mid-1600's. I would be interested in knowing more about Margaret's possible Huguenot ancestry, as mentioned on this board. If you have info about early Hulings (var. spellings) please email me at: usamom 99 @ hotmail.com (remove spaces) Thank you. JHS
