    1. Re: [HULING] Elizabeth Spink's birthdate
    2. This is a Message Board Post that is gatewayed to this mailing list. Author: Redfeennix Surnames: Spink, Vaughn(Vaughan), Weeden, Williams(as in Roger) & others Classification: queries Message Board URL: http://boards.rootsweb.com/surnames.huling/165.1/mb.ashx Message Board Post: Hello Ann, My name is Charles Spinks and I am a 10th (more like 11th)-generation, direct descendant of Robert Spink and Alice Hewes(Howes). My first curiosity lies in..are you a descendant from Spink, Huling, or other? Secondly, and more directly, I wholly concur with your post. How I came upon this post was because, this evening I realized that I have little to almost nothing for 2 or 3 offspring of Robert. One of the others is John Spink(~1662)...but that is another lineage. Getting back to Elizabeth for a moment. I do not know how I missed the fact that I did not even have a husband for her. And, I have been working on many other parts of this descendancy for the better part of 14 years. Whew! Before I even read your post, I had seen other links in forums and Google that make this connection. I disturbs me when various folks see the connection, copy it into their tree (without verification), then someone else does the same, etc.. One day, someone comes along and says, "all these folks can't be wrong". My, my,...yes? So it is somewhat a pleasure to see the converse. Example: exactly what you posted AND the manner of your deducing. Though I have seen some pretty interesting differences in ages at marriage over the years, I must say having children as proposed by some sources? and that many children at that??.NOT. Bottom line here Ann, if I may please. Your post is exactly 3 years old to the day. At least at the time of this post. I was wondering if you had discovered any info to further discredit the connection in question, but also, would you be interested in comparing notes. One final thought had just crossed my mind. I do believe that I have come across an Elizabeth Spink marrying a Huling, but it won't fully surface to remember exactly whom. I thank you for reading this Lady Ann and please feel free to contact me off-site at Redfeennix@yahoo.com In the interim, have a great day. Charlie After thought: I am on Ancestry.com and if you are not, I can search things for ya :o)...T'is what we 'real' ::wink:: genealogist do LOL.
