The first Huling I have record of in our tree (as of now) was Jesse Mitchell Huling (b. 1859,d.8/7/1926). He married Helen Isolena Gordon (b.4/26/1861, d.10/1/1950). They are both buried in the Gordon Cemetary in Harris county (Hamilton, GA). I have just about everybody since him (all white) but nobody before him. that's what I'm hoping to find. The Huling were very fruitful in this area. I'm pretty sure they are connected I just have to learn more about the 'original' Huling in our tree. I'll keep digging & let you know what I find. We believe she was born in 1884, but other censuses list her bday at 1881 and 1888. In 1898, she married Robert "Alma" Watson and they lived with his widowed mother Ada Huey Watson and her mother Jane JC Huey in Cochran/Chipley, Harris Co. There are Hulings living nearby according to nearby pages in the 1900 census, but they are all black. She was white. ??? Thank you for any help you can offer!
