    3. I am still around. Mary Jane Hulings Sloan Stitt was my great grandmother. I got a old xerox copy of the obit from my cousin Marge who got it from Margaret's daughter. Marge is on this list and may see the posting before I get to her. The last part of the copy was torn off so we don't know the name of the paper. Here is what I have. I have emailed Marge to ask her if she knows the name of the paper and date. Also since posting this a long long time ago, I have found another cousin and he has pictures of Mary Jane and so I will email him and see if he has info on the newspaper where it came from. "died at age 94. The bottom has been torn on the obit but it looks like the funeral was in Freeport, services by a pastor from a Lutheran church in New Kensington, and burial was in ---Haven cemetery, in Kittanning. " SARVER AREA WOMAN DIES AT AGE OF 94 Mrs. Mary J. Stitt, 94, died today at 6:30 a.m. in the home of her daughter, Mrs. John L. (Margaret) Aites, Ekastown road, near Sarver. 2. This is a Message Board Post that is gatewayed to this mailing list. Author: mindypeach1 Surnames: Classification: queries Message Board URL: http://boards.rootsweb.com/surnames.huling/172/mb.ashx Message Board Post: Hello I was born and raised on Huling Road in Fortson, GA in Harris County, however I am not a family member. I decided to go online to see if I could find any information on the family and the property, because over the years my family and I have had some paranormal experiences in our home and on our property. I want to point out that none of these experiences have been evil or violent at all. To be a little more specific, my sister and my mother on seperate occasions have seen a white male. My sister saw a man walking through the diningroom. My mother was outside of the house in the yard and when she looked back at the house she saw a man walk out of the side door and into the front yard and then he simply faded away. There have also been other experiences which prompted me to research the Huling family. There is also an old cemetary about a mile up the road in the woods. The graves are dated from the 1800's and early 1900's. Most of the grave stones read Huling. Important Note: The author of this message may not be subscribed to this list. I appreciate your help tremendously. Since Comelia was born in 1884 (most likely), I'm wondering if it even be likely that she is a daughter of your g-grandfather, Sidney. That would put her birth between James' and Marcus Harris'. OR Did you grandfather have any siblings that also lived in Harris County, GA? I'd love to look over any documents or info. you have that you'd be willing to scan and share. Rumor has it that Comelia was born in MIssissippi, but that her parents were from Harris County and returned there after her birth. Thanks again and Happy Easter! Yes, on the 1900 census she shows up as Cornelia Watson - married to Robert Alma Watson - in Harris County, but the correct spelling (according to her tombstone) is Comelia. Yes, I did receive this! I don't see any attached files. Did I miss something? I guess what I could really use to start with is the children of Marcus I, Marcus II, and the children of the brothers that moved to AL, Wilkes, GA and Harris County, GA. If you have wives, that's great too. I want to be sure I have everyone. I'm fairly certain that the Andrew Hulen/Hulin 1850 Census born in Ala. that you mentioned at the top was really born in GA. I examined the original closely and think it was a mistake from the person who was doing the census. Then again, he could've been born in Troup County, AL which is right next to Harris Cty. GA from what I understand. Thanks for all of your help. My email address is ChrisWH2u@aol.com. I'll send you an invite to my tree in case you have a chance to look at it and see where I've messed up.
