Dear Listers - -In the continuing search for Andris Souplis' origins in France, LDS FHC lists quite a few De Saint-Souplis, which would tie in with the postings which describe him as an officer of lower nobility. Upon his exodus from France, I believe he would have had to drop the "de Saint" from his name.
