    3. Hi Jocelyn There are many Noe family references across the 4 Threadneedle Street, the St Jean and La Patente Spitalfields CDRoms/Hug Soc Quarto series. I can't find a Noe family in the Returns of Strangers for 1567 (Mike Gallafent's CDRom), 1593, 1627, 1635, 1639 (Hug Soc Series). But there is a Thiery Noe registered as part of the Walloon congregation in Canterbury, noted in Durrant Cooper, in his return of James I. The Noe family also appears in vols 3, 5, 7 & 26 of the Hug Soc proceedings. For denization dates, the best place to look is in any of the volumes that the Hug Soc published on that subject, volume 10 probably being your best bet. It is likely that the denization and naturalization volumes will be the next publications in the Society's CDRom series, double disk, 6 volumes plus volume of notes, one volume in 4 parts/ You have to really careful searching with the name on CDRom. In old English no (negative) is often spelt noe and there are many people with Noe as their given rather than their family name - I'm wondering whether is the precursor of Noel, which I don't recall seeing in Huguenot records. Hope this helps Regards Tony Fuller
