    3. Hi Shirley Arabin mentioned that graves might have had cypress planted near them in order to show that the graves contained Huguenots. Is this an indication that closet Huguenots were sometimes buried in Catholic graveyards? It's well known, of course, that the Huguenots were strongest in the south of the country and cypress seems to dominate there. I wonder how the Huguenots of the chillier north marked their graves?
