I have read the suggestion that the name LASEUR or LA SEUR should have any connection to the name LE SUEUR. I don't believe that LA SEUR (LASEUR) is a variant of LE SUEUR (LESUEUR). If it was LA SUEUR (LASUEUR), it could be right. I think LASEUR is originally Laceur (maker of laces). But if someone knows a better explanation? Cornelis van den Berg, Amsterdam
