Hi Listers, Just wondered if the name "Pemmant" was familiar to anyone on this list. My 2nd Great Grandfather, William Pemmant was born in King's Lynn, England in 1831. It was suggested by someone on the Norfolk Mailing List that the name "Pemmant" might be French, thus making it a possibility that the Pemmants originally came from France during the war.
