USA by 1694 and possibly in Medford, Mass. before that. We were huguenots or waloons I understand. There are some interesting examples of this surname in Whittlesly, Barton, Camb., Ely, Cambrideshire, Wisbech, CAmb. Emneth, Norfolk, Colchester, Essex and London and elsewhere. Is anyone researching this surname or know of any resources on this surname? Other places of interest are THorney and Ware, Hertfordshire. I am interested in Joseph, Benjamin, Isaac, SAmuel, Elizabeth, Mary and Margaret Angeir, Angier(s) ANger, Aungier etc. Also any of this name in Ireland. Some went to Dublin I understand.
