Hello everyone, I have been told that the name GUINAN may have its origins in Huguenot France even though I've only been able to trace them back to Co Offaly in Ireland. Is there a reference somewhere to the names that may be of such an origin? I would be very interested in hearing from anyone who might know. My GUINANs arrived in New Zealand in 1873 from Ireland via Scotland, where they lived for about 45 years in Dundee. It would seem that they came from a relatively small area in the west of Offaly. Does anyone know whether this was a Nuguenot location of any significance? Any help in the above matters will be greatly appreciated. Malcolm Airs Uralla NSW Australia
