Hi Pinky, If you look in the HWE web site archives you will find some messages from Patrick Malan for example 21 Jan 2000. Where he describes Waldensians (Waldensers). Waldensians were protestants from Lyon, I think, led by a man named Vaudes ~ 1710. Vaudes group became "Waldes" > Waldensians. They migrated to Duaphin in France then to Savoy, then the Piedmont in what is now Italy, then Switzerland, then up into Germany. ----- Original Message ----- From: Pinkynorm@aol.com To: johnandcarolyn@dellnet.com Sent: Monday, December 04, 2000 8:52 PM Subject: Re: [HWE] Huguenot towns in south west Germany I see my town, Annweiler, listed as a Waldenser town. I know there were many Huguenot families there, but what does Waldenser mean? Thanks, Pinky Palladino
