Hi list, An excellent, very descriptive, book was written by a Samuel Smiles about 1874. It is titled `The Huguenots in France: After the Revocation of the edict of Nantes'. There is also a subtitle which makes reference to the Vaudois. It was published in 1874 by W. Ibister & Co., London, England. This book is out of print, but must be available for on-site reading at some libraries. About 5 years ago I read a copy which a late friend had inherited. He would not part with it, and now his widow has said I could have it, but it is not to be found among his possessions. I suspect it is hidden in a safety-deposit box somewhere, which may never be found. Good Luck in trying to find a copy. Jim, in Canada.
