OK, all you (very very quiet) folks out there -- Here is a further GRD 2000 look-up, this time for Jan <JanIsobel@aol.com>. Her request on 15 Sept mentioned surnames DE LEPINE, DE L'EPINE, DELEPINE, LEPINE, LE PINE, L'EPINE, DELESPINE, LESPINE, L'ESPINE in locations UK and FRA, time period 1500 -1900. For all of the spellings mentioned above, I found no listings except for LEPINE -- I found two listings for that one, as follows (they are also in the 1999 edition): 1) researching Jean LEPINE, pre-1700 Canterbury -- Sheri Warren, Warriors Rest, Sunny Way, St. Lawrence, Essex CM0 7PA, ENG (no e-mail). 2) researching pre-1800 Canterbury -- Sam Coley, who is a subscriber to this list <sam.coley@lineone.net>. Perhaps he's contacted you already, Jan? A third listing for LEPINE was found in the 1999 GRD only. This is another researcher in Essex and he's interested in pre-1880, East London, ENG -- Mr. J.P. Hart-Wilden, 2 Lubbards Close, Rayleigh, Essex SS6 9PY. But, sadly, no e-mail. Some further bits of info re: LEPINE (which seems to be the most common spelling that I've encountered, at least in Kent). Here are a couple of entries I came across in the BT's for Canterbury St. Andrew (for dates 1776-1812 only). 1777 Mar 18 Burial James LEPINE, infant 1777 Jly 25 Bapt Alice, dau of John & Alice LEPINE I am just now going through the BT's of Canterbury All Saints where there are quite a few LEPINE names. I'll post those in the near future, just as soon as I get them organized. So stay tuned. Andrea > >I have found that there are plenty of people researching the above names in >Canada (1600's onwards). These are of no particular interest to me as "my >lot" stayed in UK - I made the first move to Canada from UK (that I am aware >of!). > >Thank you for all of your great work on our behalf. > >Regards, >Jan Zwarick
