    3. Hello Everyone, Okay, so I have been lurking all summer long and have not made a posting in a number of months. I am guilty of enjoying what little summer we have had in Southern Ontario. I did read John Peter's book, "A Family >From Flanders" which I borrowed from the local library. It is a very good read for anyone searching for their Huguenot ancestors, even if it does not cover the time period or names you are researching. Here are my interests: My VAN DER KEUR ancestors are said to be of Huguenot descent and the name was originally DE LA COEUR. I have been able to trace my ancestors to: Arij VAN DER KEUR, born circa 1685/1690 in the Netherlands (either Leiden or 's Gravenhage), death Mar 1724 in Leiden, Netherlands married 31 Aug 1710 at Peiterskerk in Leiden to Tanneke Pieters(dr) DE GROET, born 1679, death 1746. Children: Class, Jacobus, Magdalena, Kaatje, Tanneken, Tanneke, Hendrik and Pieter. On Sept 1, Andrea made a posting with names from the BT's of St. Peter's in Canterbury, Eng. There were two names posted that caught my eye and I am wondering if they might be alternative spellings the name DE LA COEUR. The postings were: 1688 Sep 30 Bur Stephen DE NA COURE 1695 Nov 14 Bur Jacob LE COURE Any thoughts or suggestions as to where I might search for more information would be appreciated. Sue de Groot
