Oh, dear -- we've all gone so very very quiet again. Enjoying all those Olympic events, everyone <g>? Here are the results of the GRD 2000 lookup requested by Carol <markilli@inreach.com> on 19 Sept. She wants to see if anyone besides herself is listed in there, researching the names LE PLA, MARQUILLIER/MARQUILLE [MARKILLIE], TREFFETT/TREFET and FOVARGUE/FAVERGUE. Carol, I may have misunderstood you but I got the impression that you had submitted all above surnames to the 2000 GRD yourself. Which puzzled me a bit because I thought a copy of the GRD was part of the deal, when someone did that (but maybe it's optional). Anyway, I hope I DID misunderstand because you are not listed anywhere in there that I can see. For surnames LE PLA and MARQUILLIER, MARQUILLE and MARKILLIE, there are no listings at all. I even looked for LEPLA and PLA to make sure. There are also no listings for TREFFETT and TREFET spellings, but there is the following -- 1) researching TREFFET and TRIFFET, pre-1850, Durham, ENG -- Sue & Mel Bailey of St. Albans, Hertfordshire, ENG. E-mail is suemelba.stalbans@virgin.net. 2) researching TREFFTIT, c1720 Marshchapel, Lincolnshire -- Jean Ostrowski who lives just a few hours' drive south of me in the city of Victoria, BC, CAN. Her e-mail is jeao@islandnet.com. 3) researching TRIFFETT in all time periods, worldwide (a One Name Study) --Grant Andre Triffett, PO Box 573, Healesville, Victoria 3777, AUS. No e-mail!! (Incroyable!) 4) researching TRIFFITT -- a few listings for this one, with research locations ranging from Australia to England (Yorkshire, Lincolnshire, Durham). Let me know if any are of interest. No listing found for FAVERGUE but researching the FOVARGUE spelling, 1700+ in Cambridgeshire and and Northumberland, ENG is John Pollock, 221 Hemdean Road, Caversham, Berkshire RG4 7QX, ENG. No e-mail but his fax number is (0118) 947 2750. Hope at least some of the above is of interest. Wishing you luck, Andrea
