    1. [HWE] Huguenots who were tobacco-pipemakers?
    2. Does anyone have any Huguenot ancestors who were pipemakers? I know this is not one of the classic areas of employment for Huguenots but I have a researched line back to the 1790's in London who were pipemakers. There is also huge oral tradition that we were Huguenots and I have another tree charted from St. Quentin, Picardy through Haarlem, Netherlands - a great pipemaking area - to London, late17th - early 18th century. The London family were/are Hensher (via Hansher/ Hanshaw/ Earnshaw and about 20 variants). The French family were Hannechart (via Hennechart/ Hanchard etc). However they are lost during the 18th century tho' there are tantalising refs to John Hensher(aw) and Peter Hensher pipemakers in the Freedom Records of the City of London records. Can anyone help? Have been searching for the link for 12 years!!! Many thanks!
