Jacqui & Shirley When I first saw Jacqui's request about the name MARCHANT it rang a bell and so I searched my system, coming up with absolutely nothing. This greatly surprised me. It was only on seeing Shirley's reply that I realised what a fool I had been and searched again, but for LE MARCHANT. I have a listing of this family name on the island of Guernsey from the C14th for about 14 generations. They are mixed in with the CAREY family of Guernsey which I was interested in.
