In an earlier mail I did say I would let the list know how to search the above and set out below the reply I have received. It means you can enquire about a name, giving as much information as possible, they will then carry out research and let you know the result, either positive or negative, and ask for the appropriate sum to be forwarded and upon receipt they will send the information. You have the choice also of subscribing for a year at a cost of F270 which covers 15 searches. It may be better to pay F60 for upto three researches. This is because you do not have to pay for negative searches. This has been my short experience where I have made three requests which were all negative and no payment was required. Needles to say the requests must be in French and the payment in Francs. The latter should not be a problem as I have made such payments, but not to this source, in notes and sent it registered post. I am happy to carry out a limited search of names contained in this library - there are supposed to be over 200,000.
