Y. currency, it having been forfeited by Philipse on account of his allegiance to the crown. The point of junction of the towns of New Castle, North Castle, and Mount Pleasant is upon this land. The James Haight (1776-1839) we are researching was "OF" Mt. Pleasant according to some Research notes provided by the Madison County Historical Society, February 1999. Can anyone identify if there is any relationship (land records, census, marriage data, anything?) between James Haight and either (3274) Samuel or (3279) Caleb -- both of whom were in or near Mt.
