Could someone please help me sort out the confusion of Zerrubabel HOYT/HAIGHT/HAIT please? He first m. Hanna KNAPP. She d. 1678. Had Abigail who m. John FERRIS (my line). Was the second son, Joseph, Hanna's & Zerrubabel's or the son of the 2nd wife Mehitable (ROCKWELL) KEELER? I have no death date for Mehitable but assume the children, Daniel, Caleb and Hanna were by Mehitable. Am confused why a girl by Mehitable would have the first name of Zerrubabel's first wife, unless those things were just done that way then. Also, did Zerrubabel and Mehitable have a girl named Rhoda? Now for the rest of the question. If Zerrubabel's mother was Elizabeth SENSION/ST.JOHN, and his stepmother was Rhoda TAYLOR, it means Zerrubabel named his last child after his stepmother. Would that be correct? If Elizabeth SENSION/ST.JOHN didn't die till 1694, and Zerrubabel was born almost at the end of the line of the siblings, in 1650, his real mother must have been Elizabeth, musn't it? I'm really confused now. While I'm waiting for a film from Salt Lake to come and hopefully sort out this family, does anyone have it already straightened out? I'd really appreciate the help and advice. Thank you in advance.
