Hi folks, This is my first post to the list. . . . I've heard that new evidence has come up in the past couple years proving that Simon Hoyt (b.c. 1590) who immigrated to Stamford, Connecticut, married Jane Stoodlie/Stoodley. I'd like to know if anyone has information about the ancestry of Jane Stoodlie. There were apparently married in Marshwood, Dorset, which lies within walking distance of Hawkchurch and Wootton Fitzpaine -- two villages associated with the Stoodley family that immigrated to New York, Pennsylvania, Australia, and New Zealand in the early 1800's, from which I am descended. I eventually hope to learn what Jane's connection was to these later immigrants. Thanks! Mark A. Wentling
