My Grandmother was a Haight and thus my interest in this HOYT mailing list. I however have a greater need right now than researching on the family tree. Another one of my relatives is traveling to Dutches County, N.Y. tomorrow, monday, and would like to look into something related to the Hoyt/Haight background. Can any of you point her in a direction mainly a town or city that she can visit that might have lots of information on the families. She will be there a week and would like to see/visit/research the places where the families might have lived. Are there any great landmarks or homes in the county where families from the 1600-1700's lived. Just some general high points for her to visit and see. Please send your suggestions to me and I'll get them over to her later today. <Sunday> Even if something shows up next week I can probably still fax some info to her while she is up there.
