    2. kevin stiles
    3. I am trying to locate more information on the above mentioned males. They were located in Lisle, Broome County,NY in 1820,1825,1830 census. All of them seemed to have moved to other locations after this. I descend from David HOYT who married Betsy FRANKLIN and moved to Mercer Co, PA in 1837. He was born in 1795 in NY. I suspect his father is Daniel mentioned above but I am not sure. Can anyone identify the other individuals, all likely came from New York or New England prior to arrival in Broome County. ______________________________________________________ Get Your Private, Free Email at http://www.hotmail.com

    1. Hoyts of Windsor Co., VT
    2. Ron McRoberts
    3. Sophona (Sophrony) Hoyt married James M. Barnes (1812?-1885) who was born in Barnard, VT, son of Elijah Barnes, Jr. James and Sophona Barnes lived in Topsham, VT; on Stony Brook in Stockbridge, VT; Barnard, VT; and Pomfret, VT. Children: Lucian, Ella, Harvey, George, Emmogene, Anna, Herbert, Nora. There is a similarity between this family and the Daniel/Elsey Hoyt family of Windsor Co., VT, that was posted to this list sometime back. The latter family moved to West Bloomfield, Ontario Co., NY, by 1814, while at least one member of the former family was born in the same place (about 1810-1815), even though the former family had been associated with Barnard, VT, since the late 1700s. If you can provide details on Sophona Hoyt, please respond to me directly, and also to the list if you wish. Ron McRoberts mcrob001@maroon.tc.umn.edu
