Some sources have her father down as Obediah Butler and mother Elizabeth. If anyone has a source for this and especially Elizabeth, wife of Obediah's, maiden name. I would really love to know!!!! :) I do have a hunch...I'm guessing that mother of Elizabeth Butler (1707-1741) is Elizabeth Howes and that she was the daughter of Jeremiah Howes (1637-1708) and Sarah Prence (1643-1707). Obediah's parents being Daniel Butler (1642-17171) and Elizabeth Howes (1643-1689). It seems to be a good guess that the cousining continued in tradition being that Jeremiah Howes and Elizabeth Howes are siblings and the children of Thomas Howes and Mary Burr. Both Sarah Prence and Elizabeth Howes are born in 1643. Something that could have brought the two mothers in solidarity or perhaps close in friendship...then the rest is history.
