Stories in our family mention the bareback rider in the circus and the mansion, Morning Thorpe. We also have our great grandfather Elbert Howes Crane who lived in Danbury and in Somers, NY. Elbert was the son of Randolph and Florence Kniffen Crane. Randolph was the son of Nathaniel Crane by his third wife, Rachel Pinckney. I've searched both the Crane and Howes genealogies with no success. Any information greatly appreciated! Thanks!
