    1. [HOWERY-L] Variant Spelling OURY
    2. Hi Judie, Some time ago, while searching for Cherokee ancestors, I came across this spelling, and also Aury. I couldn't make a definite connection at the time, so I let it go. I'm not sure if it was on the Miller Roles, or another one. If this might be the case, then Virginia, as well as the Carolinas, might also have this same thing happening. It might be worth checking.... Let me know what you find out.... Bill Haury IN: RedHorse@gbso.net HO>Has anyone come across the spelling OURY and known it was part of the HOWERY HO>family? HO>I'm seeing this name in the same areas of VA,1799-1815, where there were HO>Howery. I don't want to re-invent the wheel if someone has already research HO>this question. HO>Judie Cale Nelson
