Ahha!!! I never knew that Samuel Howery was married prior to Maria Roseboom! I thought he married Maria Roseboom at a late time in life but never gave a thought of his marriage to Maria as being a 2nd marriage. I have some Questions: Did Samuel Howery and Mary Sifford have children? If so, which ones? Did Mary Sifford die or was there a divorce? Did Samuel have any of Mary's children in his household at the time of the 1830 Shelby County census? If so which of them did Mary Sifford give birth to and which ones did Maria Roseboom give birth to? Did Jacob Howery follow/go at the same time as David King Howery to Warren Co., Iowa in the late 1840's? There is a J. Howery listed with two 40 acre parcels in close proximity to David in the 1872 Warren County, IA Atlas. Was this Jacob Howery? This might be a clue to Jacob's relationship with David. Which might lead to his relationship to Samuel. Where was Jacob living when he died? Am I not full of questions? I haven't yet "documented" any of my Howerys. I haven't even documented my David Howery with public records yet. It was a "Given",(i.e.,understood) as he was in family history records passed from generation to generation.
