Phil Howry (of this list) recently sent me some notes from Edward Howrey (of Howrey & Simon fame - the DC law firm). I don't know how reliable Ed's information was but he lists James, John, and Joseph as children of Samuel's first marriage. However, he calls their mother Sarah. He also guesses that Samuel was son of Jacob Howry and Susannah Wax. I'm curious about the source for the name Sarah as a wife of Samuel. Was Edward Howrey confused or did he have additional information that we don't have? Justin C.S. IN the past no one was able to answer my question "Did Samuel and Mary Sifford have children?". Would you happen to have any vitals on Joseph and John such as birth dates, etc? Were there other children that you know of? Sorry to be a pest.
