Hi family, Frankly cousins, this is a touchy issue for me as I have major reservations asking for money. However, fees for Howell Research are annual and each year our domain has to be paid for. The hosting fees are due January 2nd. To those cousins who joined us this year: our cyberhome, Howell Research Room <http://howellresearch.com>, is just what I said... OUR home. I only maintain the site. It's the combined family who pays to keep us in it. In this way, WE own the site ~ not just me... a. Whenever I want to do something major there I bring it to the family for a majority vote. b. I have promised the cousins, and now you, that I will never move our home without your knowing it first and why. c. Each cousin's information displayed there is treated as important to me as my own data. If we're to keep our home on the Web, the following fees need to be raised: The cost: $ 70 = anuual fees 20 = .net registration 20 = .org registration --- $110 outlay for howellresearch.com/.net/.org Please understand straight off ... NOBODY is REQUIRED to help support this effort. It is all voluntary and in no way will you be prevented from using the Room or any other site, page, etc. we may set up at Howell Research. If you would also like to contribute to this effort I will very humbly and gratefully accept any donations: Colleen Pustola P.O. Box 13154 Fort Carson, Colorado 80913 IF the donations exceed the required $110, I will roll those extra funds over toward our annual fees next year. I will NOT retain any of the funds for myself, but keep it all within the family to pay for our home. And now, I have a request to make. I intensely dislike having to ask everyone for money, albeit annually. I'd like to know if we have a bookkeeper/accountant-type cousin with us who is willing to take on this yearly task, sending notices to the family and coordinating the effort. If the above isn't acceptable, can anyone come up with an idea of taking care of this annual issue without my having to bring it up? Thanks, everybody. Colleen
Hi ! I, for one, would donate more quickly if you had PayPal... or, something similar... Nowadays it is a real hassle to ---go find a pen, envelope, checkbook, stamp, return address sticker... With PayPal, you can just do a few clicks, sitting right here, and the deed is done...
