Friday August 16, 1883 Married--- Miller-Howell At the residence of the groom's parents, on Antelope, August 15, by Rev. A. Miller, Mr. Phillip Miller and Miss M. Ella Howell, Daughter of John Howell of Ashland. Reverend Abraham Miller, Jr. was the father of Phillip Chrisian Miller who married Mary Ella Howell as indicated. Unfortunately I have lost my data on teh Howell family via a Hard-drive crash (two actually, the second was while installing back-up data which was destroyed in the process). I am back to basics. I do not know if this will help you or not, but I had a lot of Howell relatives from Hardman Stanford Howell and his family If you know of them or have any info on them Please let me know Bob ----- Original Message ----- From: "Jeff" <scismgenie@adelphia.net> To: <HOWELL-L@rootsweb.com> Sent: Friday, December 12, 2003 11:01 AM Subject: [HOWELL] My Howells connected in Oregon > Friday August 16, 1883 Married--- Miller-Howell > > At the residence of the groom's parents, on Antelope, August 15, by > Rev. Jeff, Are your Miller-Howells related to the GILLIS, KERR or MILLARD families? We have 2 Charles HOWELLS from Glen Cove, LI, NY and an Elizabeth GILLIS from Astoria, LI, NY (whom we believe married Edwin William Hamilton MILLER). They went west to California and Nevada. Their daughter married a MILLARD in Nevada. James Wilfrid KERR and his wife went to New Mexico. It's a long shot but thought I'd ask. Thanks, Kathy Unsel Gillis ----- Original Message ----- From: "Jeff" <scismgenie@adelphia.net> To: <HOWELL-L@rootsweb.com> Sent: Friday, December 12, 2003 11:01 AM Subject: [HOWELL] My Howells connected in Oregon > Friday August 16, 1883 Married--- Miller-Howell > > At the residence of the groom's parents, on Antelope, August 15, by > Rev. Carol, Do you show in your family; a Daniel Howell born 1811 Gallia Co, OH - 1890 married to Elizabeth Abrams? Daniel's father was supposedly; James Howell born 1760/71 in Sussex Co, NJ - 5 Dec 1835 Macon Co, IL , his wife was a Sarah MNU, this part of the research is supplied by a cousin from earlier research and I am trying to verify. As your lineage seems to follow the same pattern of times and locations I am hoping you may have siblings that may give you a connection for me. Specifically do you show a William Howell as a son of Hugh? If so do you show a son James as listed above? Or a James Howell (as listed above) as a son of Sampson? I am not really sure who the father of my James Howell is and that is why the 2 options offered.
