I am seeking information on my grandfather, JAMES WATSON HOWELL, d. 2/10/1929, in Lamesa, Texas. His mother was Nancy Jane Howell, b. in 1840 place unknown, d. 9/13/1928, in Lamesa, TX. He was a constable and deputy sheriff and rancher in the Texas Panhandle area most of his adult life. He was married to JO ELLA STANDIFER, b. 5/28/1879, d. 1/21/1965 in Lamesa, TX. I believe James Watson Howell had a brother named MILTON HOWELL, said to have lived in Gatesville, TX, and another brother who lived in Kenedy, TX. Another brother (name unknown to me) is said to have lived in Washington state. (Milton Howell had a daughter named Bernice, whose married name was Powell, said to have lived in Ft. Worth, TX.)
