I wonder if George Howell possibly father of John Howell who went to White County, TN. John Howell and brother Calvin went to White County in 1813. Both married their spouses in Grayson Co., VA. John married Nancy Brewer, and Calvin married Barbara Rhudy. There is a Rhudy-Brewer cemetery in Grayson County where some of the Howells are also buried. Some White County researchers believe that John Hamilton Howell from NC who fought in the Rev. War was John's father. A DAR marker is even there in his honor. I KNOW for a fact that John Hamilton Howell's son John went to Georgia, and even died there.
