    1. [HOWELL] COLLEEN'S AUGUST CHALLENGE
    2. Colleen Pustola
    3. Hi everyone, July's roll call brought out a lot of information that, hopefully, generated a bingo or two. This month though, IS NOT about your individual lines... For as many people in our ancestries as we've found during our research, there are many, many more that we've happened across that don't belong in our own individual families. This month's challenge is about those miscellaneous people that are sitting in a shoebox under the bed, stuffed in a catch-all binder on a dusty shelf, molding in a desk drawer with the thought that one day you just might connect with them, but not yet. Great information for someone... ...just not not you. The challenge: Post information about our surname lines that are NOT yours. Even if all you have is an obit or a single census extraction, that will count. The object is that the line isn't yours. Give as complete information about the person/family as you can ~ particularly regarding place and years. Variant spellings are always welcomed. Post your data directly to the list, please. I'm only one person when, in fact, you want everyone to see it. Colleen P.S. If you scored a bingo on last month's roll call, won't you please share it with the rest of us? We'd love to share in your happiness at making THE connection.

    2. Colleen, I have tried to post this on the Research Room page, unsuccessfully, so I'm sending it directly to you. I have a copy of the will of Levi C. HOWELL. who lived in Quincy. Adams County, Illinois. He died probably about 1865, and was apparently unmarried. His will named these heirs" all siblings, I think: Lewis B. HOWELL, Cornelia M, wife of George HUME, Thomas B. HOWELL, Orlando HOWELL, Ezra HOWELL and Sarah J. wife of Theodore H. Broomfield. I'll be happy to send a copy of the will to anyone who thinks he has a connection.
