Some of the Howells from Chatham Co, NC settled in Morgan Co, IN -they came through TN. It is not my line but can try to find the researcher again IF this is someone's line. Micki << Will, My Brewer, who married William Morgan was from Chatham Co., NC.. She was the daughter of Able Brewer, who was born abt 1782.. but I do not know where.. but we suspect the Brewers may be from VA.. Able Brewer b abt 1782 married Mary Morgan born abt. 1790 in Chatham Co., and their daughter Amelia Brewer married a relative of Mary Morgan, whose grandfather was Charles Morgan, who left his will in Chatham Co., NC in 1787..We suspect these Morgans to be from VA also.. but my William Howell is NOT from Chatham Co., but there were several Howells in Chatham Co. too..
