Since several have commented on the Howell's for NC today, I though I'd add the one I am researching again. She is Margaret "Peggie" HOWELL. She was the wife of Craton/Crayton LEDFORD, according to information on a death certificate of their daughter's. He is in the 1850 Census of Cleveland Co. listed with the children, but she died in 1849. Based on the age of her husband, she probably was born in the area of 1815. They very well could have migrated through Rutherford Co. before getting to Cleveland Co., as this is where Crayton's parents are listed in the NC Marriage Bonds 1742-1868 / Rutherford County, NC -- Lewis Ledford and Dorcas Ellis - bond date July 19, 1812. I do not have ANY connections to ancestors. Sure hope some of these listed today could be a relative of our Peggie. HELP me break down my brick wall. Thanks Rachel
