They were Quakers and came from Norwich, Ontario Canada. Elizabeth and Isaac were living in East Oxford in the 1871 Canadian census. The mother of Rosa ( born Roselpha Iona Howell 20 May 1872 ) was Phoebe Ellen Springsteen. Her parents were Joseph Springsteen and Mary Gee.
