Daniel Nail of Bush Island in New Windsor, deceased, by will directed his estate be divided between sons John, Gasper and Daniel and daughters Ann and Elizabeth. John being also dead, his estate was administered by George Miller who married Keziah his widow; his daughter Ann married and is now wife of Nathaniel Howell; Elizabeth is now wife of John Savage. Amicable division was made 20 March 1796. Wit: Casper Nail, John Clarke, who swore by oath 14 Oct 1788 before John Sturzenegger, J.P. Plat laid out 4 Dec 1787 by Offechton?. Histories of LaGrange and Troup County, Georgia Volumes I and III by Forrest Clark Johnson, III; Volume I A History of LaGrange, Georgia 1828-1900 and Volume III Genealogical and Historical Register of Troup County, Georgia (indexed together) and including a correction sheet for Volume II The History of Pleasant Grove Methodist Church (which was published separately in 1980) page 342 and 343 Nathaniel Howell, who was a Lt. in the American Revolution and carried message between Ga. and S.C. He was also a judge in 1781. He married Ann Nail, daughter of Daniel and Barbara Nail of Edgefield County, S.C.
