Hey Will, There's lots of people out there who would rather believe what they think is true.. than accept documentation that proves what IS the truth!! Believe me, I'll take the documentation and it's truth.. He lived on Falling Creek or something like like, and served in Capt. Nathaniel Williams 2nd N.C. Battalion during the Revolutionary War. He's the fellow my bunch claimed was John "Hamilton" Howell, who they claim is buried under a phoney DAR monument at Elrod Cemetery in White County, TN. I've proved beyond doubt that the man never left Wayne County, N.C., and is NOT our ancestor. Needless to say, some of the Howells up there in White County ain't too happy with me, preferring obviously to believe lying tradition over the truth as revealed in the actual documentation.
