I have not read the entire book, and in any case, probably wouldn't remember the places, only the names, but I scanned it briefly again, and found none of these places mentioned. It appears that this Howell family stayed in Loudon County until their move to Muskingum County, OH, probably after the revolutionary War, in about 1783, since that seems to be the last mention of them in the VA tax lists. ----- Original Message ----- From: "Marsha Howell" <[email protected]> To: <[email protected]> Sent: Tuesday, February 26, 2002 2:19 PM Subject: Re: [HOWELL] Fw: Roll Call-Grayson Co., VA>TN>MO>West > Do Any of these Howell in "The Howells of New Jersey, Virginia, Ohio and > Points West" ever settle for a time in Lewis, Randolph, Harrison or Kanawha, > Counties Virginia in the late 1700's? > > Marsha > > > ----- Original Message ----- > From: "Jeannette Phethean" <[email protected]> > To: <[email protected]> > Sent: Tuesday, February 26, 2002 9:44 AM > Subject: Re: [HOWELL] Fw: Roll Call-Grayson Co., VA>TN>MO>West > > > > I'm quoting from the book "The Howells of New Jersey, Virginia, Ohio and > > Points West" by Richard E.
